puggy211 (371), cordova, Tennessee, USA Jul 9, 2008 didn’t expect much from this beer but I was impressed. It pours with a red body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma is full of sweet marichino (sp?) cherries with slight malt notes. The flavor is slightly sour yet sweet with tons of marichino(sp? again) and a hint of malt. Light bodied, smooth and dry. It’s no New Glarus, but what is? Overall good. This would be a good beer to get someone into craft brew.
WeeHeavySD (2031), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 16, 2008 nip from wetherel shared with him and my girlfriend. Pours pink with a big cherry white head. Sweet slight cherry nose. Sweet too candy like for me. fredandboboflo (722), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, Cherish. Aroma of tart cherries and some acidic tartness. Flavor the same, tarter than I expected, in between the purely sugary lambic fruits and the classic lambic fruits. I quite enjoyed it. LilBeerDoctor (733), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 3, 2008 Bottle, labeled Cherish Kriek. Pours a dirty brown red with a huge, thick, foamy light pink head. Aroma of sour cherries and a little funk. Flavor of sweet cherry with a nice tartness. Body is a little weaker than I’d prefer, but this is a nice cherry lambic. guzzler67 (1162), Hanover, Maryland, USA Sep 11, 2008 Reddish amber appearance with a tiny white head and very little lacing, Sweet, cherry licorice aroma. Taste turns a little more tart, but the cherries (or the cherry syrup) overwhelm everything else. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a finish that’s almost cloying. JamesD (161), Centreville, Virginia, USA Aug 29, 2008 This is a nice lambic, with an agreeable balance of tart sourness and sweetness, both of those qualities are blended nicely. This is the sweetest kriek I prefer, I might buy more for use with desserts.
