| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2009 Dark amber pour. Smell has a lot to it. Sour notes with definite fruit and alcohol. Wow there are a ton of flavors going on here. Huge sour taste with big fruit. Woody and earth tones are around too. Interesting and makes me think... JohnnyJ (1312), Carlsbad, California, USA

Berries, sourness, hints of funk, candy sugar, cherries, and some oak. Not an amazing sour, but it is still good. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2009 Pours a brown color with a tan head. Aroma is of candied sugar, a little horse blanket, some fruits, and yeast. Somewhat sour at first but has a nice flavor of candied sugars, oak, wild yeast, and horse blanket. Decent brew but not my favorite sour. joeneugs (330), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 17, 2009 This beer pours a dark ruby color with a fizzy off white head. The aroma is surprisingly muted for a sour, but I did pick up sour berries and a touch of barnyard. The flavor is sour berries, oak, sugar coated strawberries, and a touch of horseblanket. Kind of light bodied, but flavorful. Not terribly complex, but good balance between the sweet and the sour. Good value too, for an imported sour ale. dankman38 (228), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | May 13, 2009 Pours a dark ruby with a small head and pretty lacing, nice sour vinegar nose with some cherries, starts sour but ends an almost buttery blah, finishes clean with a slight rancid butter mouthfeel and aftertaste. It reminds me of a few select varieties of wine I don’t care for at all. This beer tastes like Satans asshole. Dubbercody (214), Vancouver, Washington, USA

Bottle poured into tulip glass. Red burgundy color with a white bubbly head. Smell is nice, gives a god indication of the sweet/sour mix that comes through in the flavor profile. Clean finish that drinks down very easily. Defiantly would drink again.
Very good beer to enjoy watching the beginning of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. (Maybe there is also something about Sours and Werewolves?) cracklefish (3), Ohio, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2009 Aroma comes on with a deep red wine twang, bing cherries and some minor butter/caramel. Little sweaty or goaty as it warms. Pours a deep copper red with medium high clarity, some ruby and garnet flashes. Off white head that lingers with belgian lacing. Flavor comes on pretty sweet but subdued, not malty. Middle is full and round with same notes as the nose, some cranraisin characters. Finish is smooth and long getting dry to a clean finish. Medium high carbonation. This is a very drinkable sour red that is very smooth and pretty complex with a great balance.
