Pours a dark maroon color with an offwhite head. Smell is mild cherry kriek like tartness, but a bit too mild. Taste is like a thin kriek with very light tartness and sweetness. Thin body and carbonation. Just not enough flavor or umpf Maria (6323), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Thanks Fonefan. Red-brown with a huge and creamy head, that leaves islands of foam. The aroma is pleasantly sour with notes of berries, malt and hints of oak. The flavour is initially very citric/sour, but soon it’s a more mellow sourness with notes of berries, malt, caramel and a light vinous sweetness. the finish is slightly dry and sour. A pleasant, but not overwhelming sour. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Poured a muddy brown/pink into the glass. Smell was lightly sour. Taste was lightly sour, with some weak fruit, cherries and maybe some apple, a little watery overall with a slightly metallic taste in the finish. Not horrible, but nothing to make me want to try it again. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange color with thin head. Aroma is of light vinegar, wood, faint fruitiness, and maybe a little sweet. Flavor is citric, very acidic, with just hints of what might be cherry but is definitely fruit oriented. Other than the tartness in the end it seems a little light on flavors. Not bad though. GG (1672), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2008 I guess you might consider this a sour on training wheels. Excellent beer to start someone down the road of sour ales. Nothing too extreme about this beer which is fine for that application. An aroma of sour berries, some wood, and a touch of acidic/vinegar notes. Appearance had that black cherry color/chesnut hue, minimal head. Mouthfeel had a lightness about it, some acidic zip too. Flavor was lightly tart (zinging the jaws just so lightly), berries, and oak. In terms of flavor, it doesn’t really stray too far from the aroma. Enjoyable beer and as I mentioned, a great starter. yespr (12415), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2008 25 cL bottle. Medium slow/fast gusher. Pours hazy brown with a light orange hue and a lacing tan head. Light woody acidic aroma with a mild caramel and brown suagr note. Acidic to citric sour taste first. Shows a mild caramel and sugarish note midways and in the far finish. Holds a solid sourness initially and before the finish. Not as smooth as the Duchesse but nicely more dry. michael-pollack (2739), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells of funk, sour cherries, yeast, and tart fruits. Poured ruby/copper in color with a medium-sized, tan head that lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is sweet and sour. Tastes of sour cherries, black cherries, yeast, and funk. A bit like black cherry soda with added funk. KimJohansen (7145), Copenhagen V, Denmark
