| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2007 A new style for me. Nice amber body with a tan soapy head and moderate carbonation. Aroma is sweet and malty with some spice. It is a delicious aroma. First taste has a nice sour / acidic grab to it. Not like anything I have previously tasted. The middle of the tongue is stimulated but not greatly. Flavor settles into a very nice floral and fruity beer that is a delight to drink. clingman71 (261), Centerville, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Feb 12, 2007 Updated: Oct 31, 2007Bottle, Monk’s Flemish Sour Ale. This name led me to this list of reviews. I really like Flemish sour ales, but this one was a disappointment. It has a good tart sour flavor, but tastes as though it is watered down. The aroma is good, but I can’t get by the watery taste and finish. I am much too spoiled with Rodenbach to settle for this!!!!!!! sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Aroma, yeasty and some sourness, lightly fruity. Flavor, sour with some dry fruits. Pretty good, but I’ve had better. beerslayer (753), New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Not a fan of really tart, fruity, and sour flavors but, this was drinkable. Finishes tart, chewy, and stickey. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 13/20 | Feb 10, 2007 Bottle: Dark cider look. Clear with a small and quickly dissipating head. The aroma is mellow and sour along with some wood splinters. There really isn’t that much flavor compared to the Dutchess. The aftertaste is a bit "tinny" and dissolves immediately. I was disappointed. BuckeyeBoy (1674), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 10, 2007 bottle pours out a hazy brown topped with a nice off white head. A very nice aroma of sour fruit as it should. But the tast was very thin. More sour than anything. Thanks Pinkzambia for this one.
