On draught at the brewpub in Birdsview, Washington. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a slow dissolving white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of crystal and gold grain malt, flowery hops and touch of fruit. Taste is medium bodied, slightly sweet with golden grain malt and a touch of corn syrup. Finish is semi-sweet with a malty golden grain aftertaste and no bitterness. One of the sweeter Boh pils I’ve tried so far.

Draft at the brewpub. Crystal clear medium gold with a thin white head and beautiful sheeting lace. Mild grassy and nutty nose. Sweet clean easy-drinking lightish body. Hay and grass mid-palate. Lightly sweet finish.

8/22/2007: Birdsview Pilsner 152 has a transparent golden color, a white head, and nice lacing. It smells like mandarin oranges! The toasty flavor is a good hop presence to it. This beer has a medium-light to medium body and is quite smooth. Overall this is an interesting pilsner that is quite tasty and a welcomed derivation from the norm.

Draught sample at the Birdsview Brewing Company in Birdsview, Washington. Rating #4 for this beer...

Aroma is dry hop forward followed by sweet malt. Very good, but not quite to style. Appearance is a light clear yellow with a very well retained white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward with a solid, slightly earthy hop flavor. Mouthfeel is light bodied, with low graininess and a solid medium high carb feel. Overall, a very nice, neat interpretation of the style, pushing the limits on what hops are appropriate for a pilsner and making a great light bodied beer out of the effort.

Golden with nice head retention. Aroma is strong with hops, saaz and whole grain. Malty with a great hop presence that balances this beer to an easy drinking enjoyable pils.

Hazy golden with a thick head. Rich aroma with lots of saaz depth and big aromatic bready malts too. Flavourwise, the malts are a bit coarse but the beer remains full of life with rich saaz and a breadcrusty toasted malt character. The resiny, bitter finish lingers long. Might be the best PNW lager I’ve ever had.
