Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel and apple character malts, a touch of iced tea and flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of caramel, dry grassy hops and apple. Finish has a slight metallic texture with aftertaste of caramel and a lingering mild bitterness. after4ever (2827), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Crystal clear medium amber with thin grayish film and plenty of sheeting, persistent lace. Mild, sweet caramel nose. Understated body: soft carb and not that big. Caramel and almost molasses sweet mid-palate. Mild finish. Bradrcr (781), Renton, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2007 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is yeasty, sweet with a slight saltiness and smoke. Good and interesting, just not to style. Appearance is a slightly hazy copper with an off-white head. Flavor is malt with yeast notes forward. Hop flavor is low with medium bittering and a slight smoke flavor in the background. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium/high carb feel. Overall, a very easy drinking amber; just with some odd, but yummy smoke and rauche characteristics.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Amber and hazy body with a small off white head. Scraps smells like scrapes of grains and malts all blended together with a touch of butterscotch. Lots of bready, grainy flavour with a touch of sweetness. Finishes with a slight bitterness. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Hazy but vibrant amber colour. Looks good as the sun peers over the snow-covered hills at me. Ultra-fresh grain aroma. This smells like it’s still being brewed. Malt-accented palate with whole grain bread, brown sugar, Assam tea and almost a light spiciness from the hops. Moderate bitterness. Fresh, complex take on the brewpub standard.
