Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Pours a deep, clear red with medium off-white head. Flavorful, slight bitter taste with smooth finish. Had three at a restaurant bar before dinner. Definitely better than an Amberbock. Ordered as it was the only import besides Heineken (blah!) among MBC beers. Cheers!

Bottle pours a reddish brown color with a foamy beige head. Sweet roasted malt aroma and flavor. There is a slightly bitter aftertaste that helps balance out the sweetness some.

Pours redbrown with a small cream head, with disapears fast. Aroma is light caramel, malt, light hop (grass and earth). Taste is malty with light hop and caramel.

Pours a dark amber with a full but short lasting large bead head. Has a bready and hop flower aroma. Sweet toasted malt taste along with caramel and some butterscotch. Very little hops noted in the flavor. Doppelbock? I dont think I would go that far but it is a decent and fairly rich amber.

Tried this at Tutto Italia in EPCOT. Color was reddish brown with a good sized head. Aroma is all malt. Mouth feel is a bot sticky with a lack of carbonation. Flavor is malt with a bit of dried fruit. Not really a good beer, but it was drinkable.

12oz bottle at the Crosswoods Winking Lizard. Pours a clear blood red with a huge off-white head. Malty aroma with some fruit presence. Malty flavor with yeast and a buttery mouthfeel. Not bad.

Got this in northern italy in a grocery store. This is a clear reddish color with a malt aroma mixed with fruit. The taste is like a dark chocolate with a slight bitterness and sweetness.
