Flavour begins with a bite of malt, almond, black cherry, chestnuts, caramel and some toffee notes. Very well balanced, light bodied but a very pleasant mouthfeel, slightly sweet then bitter with a dry finish. More complex than anticipated. Aroma is very sweet and malty with some caramel and woody notes. Flavor starts very sweet and picks up a nice biscuit breadiness. Some deep roasted malts lead into a nutty finish with some bitterness that lingers. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Similar flavors that include cola, subtle toffee, more roasted maltiness, and subtle caramel. Low carbonation and medium/full body. Alcohol content is hidden well. A decent beer; very representative for the style.
