Chocolate mild roasted malt aroma. Light coffee + cream, butterscotch and carmel notes. Figgy fruitiness. You can taste the alchohol.
Creamy texture, tantalizingly smooth palate.

Very condensed but minimal head when poured, don’t know if alititude affects this. I like it better than some local dark ambers/bocks, but still could use something to hide the heavy alcohol scent. Good overall brew. Homer321 (127), Rockledge, Florida, USA

Taste was malty with notes of caramel, chocolate, and more alcohol. Kind of a rough grainy beer. Decent. Could hide alcohol a little better. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Had high hopes for this one, but it was undrinkable. Filtered clear body. Small, quickly diminishing foam. Aroma had hardly any character. Maybe a touch of roast. Flavor has sweet fruit notes and some caramel-like malt character. No flaws. Probably not deserving of such a low score, but I didn’t like any of its attributes and I didn’t enjoy the beer at all.
