Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

bottled. Clear brown ale, malty nose. Taste is sweet malts (a lil’ nutty) followed by a straight alcohol linger(seems stronger than actually is). Easy to toss back thou. Might just buy again.

Subdued caramel malt aroma. Crystal clear brown with a thick creamy head. Roasted malts, yeasty, nutty. Alcohol content is evident if not exaggerated. Smoky hop finish. I like what the brewer is trying to do, but the bottle I had was not very good.

Dark red-brown, rich hearty maltiness dominates every aspect of this brew. Very delicious!

12 oz. bottle. pours a clear dark amber-brown with a decent size tan head, but I’ve never seen such a nice foamy head disappear so fast. not even any lace left around the edge of my snifter! aroma was sweet malts. flavor was mostly more sweet malt with sweet brown sugar. not a bad brew, just rather one dimensional. thanks to Saarlander for the bottle.

Bottle. Pours well, copper. Rich aroma and taste of bread and malt. I need a second bottle on hand to have immediately after I finish the first.

Bottle. Pour is pretty enough. A rich copperish brown color with a big tan head. Aromas are boring and sweet. Flavors are more of the same with a little touch of a sawdusty texture and some nut flavors.

350 ml bottle from a local Italian restaurant. This beer sucks, but the 7.2% is the most redeeming aspect. A basic sweet malty aroma and taste.
