| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Bottled. A clear dark red beer with a beige head. Caramel in both aroma and flavour, but well balanced by a good bitterness in the end. Malty, medium body, respectable beer. Very good to be an Italian commercial beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Aroma of caramel malt with a hint of grassiness. Nice mahogany color with a white head that quickly flattened. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Sweet caramel/toffee flavor arguably backed by hop, but not enough to argue for balance. The finish is more sweet than dry. It is definitely malty. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Cola in appearance with faint, generically malty aroma. Tastes better than it smells with decent carbonation, and a cola-like taste to complement its appearance. $2/12oz mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

I like the malty smoothness but there was no aroma that I could detect. I would have tried this before if ir weren’t named Rossa. It makes it out to be a red, which I don’t think it is. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2007 (Bottle) Pours dark amber brown. Malty aroma with tones of dark grainy bread, crisp bread and earth up front but also some notes of dark fruit cake, smoke, caramel and toffee. Hops bring grass, flowers and some hints of herbs. Balanced sweet flavour with a hoppy bitterness too back it up. The malt is dark bread like in the flavour as well with a light caramel sting. The hop tones of grass and flowers come through in the same laid back style as in the nose. Clean and almost a bit hard mouthfeel with a touch of alcohol. Medium bitter, lingering finish with hints of toffee, syrup and dark bread. A bit crisp. Medium body. Nice.
