Intense taste and full-bodied, but it doesn’t annoy. Maybe, the best italian beer i’ve drunk mkel07 (526), Brisbane, Australia

Dark and black in colour with a thin tan head that quickly vanishes to leave a smattering of bubbles floating around. Aroma of dark chocolate that is sweet and inviting. Bitterness in flavour with some smoky flavours coming through. Well balanced and nice sipping beer. cprochak (412), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Clear, mahogany colour with a thick beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with caramel and anise. Sweet flavour, almost full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toast-malty taste with caramel and soft spicy notes; sweet and toasty malty finish with a present alcoholic burn. A bit one-dimensional Doppelbock. 23.IX.09 Grizzle (46), Lawrence, Kansas, USA

Pours a clear auburn with a gassy head which dissipates quick. Smells of candy, port, alcohol, apples or prunes, and caramel. The taste retains the woody/port quality, the prunes, and the caramel. Addition of raisins and a mild balance of hops. A fine beer for backing up my music library. Thanks, Brian! TampaBrew (824), Tampa, Florida, USA
