Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours bronze with a decent off-white head. Aroma of caramel sweet malts, alcohol, and earth. Flavor is sweet, caramel, roast. Good body, good brew.

[Bottled] Light hazy, red-brown colour. Fruity nose and a bit of caramel. Rich and round in flavour with a roasty caramel tone. Good balance. Surprise!

Bottle. Poured brown color with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly. Light toasted malt aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration.

Quite a tasty bocck this one. Lots of sweet sticky toffee and a bit of burnt malt. A well balanced flavour that distributes the sweet malt evenly to create a very more-ish drop. The palate is medium bodied, which is probably typical for a beer of this strength. A good, solid beer. Re-rate: Definitely not as good this time around, probably down about a full point. Too unbalanced and a bit raw. However, I’ll leave the rate to stand as it has the potential to be that good.

Poured a dark brown color from the bottle. Very bitter taste. Not my kind of beer.

Had this bottled in Chicago, Illinois. Dark red color, nearly brown, with a thick head. Not much nose but a profound sweetness in the taste, balanced hops but a bit too alcohol-y for me. Good.
