Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

This is an excellent beer. It has a wonderful aroma and somewhat fruity flavor, and is slightly heavy although drinkable. Nice dinner beer.

Bottle. Had a stale sweet fruit aroma. Murky brown body with thin head. Had flavors of plumbs, and grapes. More like a whine cooler as it was rather tart for my tastebuds.

Good reddish-brown body, with a medium ivroy head. A hoppy-soap aroma, maybe some corn. Nice malts and caramel in the body, not too bad of an ending as well.

Poured from a 12oz bottle a dark amber with a tan head. Aroma was malts and sweet dark fruits. Flavor was malty with a sweet caramel flavor and a slight hop bite in the finish. The body on this one seemed kinda light for me.

I am always happy to find this at an Italian restaurant. Crystal clear amber with a thin head. Strong malt and dark fruit/raisen aroma. Sweet and malty and rather plummy. Slightly astringent finish. It could have a richer body. Goes good with ravioli.

Bottle at the Ambassador - Houghton, MI Pours amber brown clear, with a light creamy head of tan. Dusty wheat aroma. Hint of caramel. Flavor is bland, incredibly watery sugar and chalkboard malt flavor. A hint of toast finishes this heer, with a few notes of corn nuts. Palate is very watery, but not refreshing, instead sickly, and a touch sticky. This is horrible for a Bock.
