Clear dark amber ale having a large giant long lasing head with good lacing. No discernable carbonation. Spicy caramel aroma. Medium-to-full bodied that starts with sweet malt and caramel and raisin flavors. Finishes with short-lived light hop bitterness. A very good smooth, malty sweet beer, more like a Winterbrew. Sweet, malty flavor, some alcohol apparent, especially in the finish. The hops are very light and while this is a pretty good beer, I really think it could use more bite. awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA
