Bottled. I have to admit this was better than I thought it was going to be. Had a nice amber color to it. Aromas of malt were in full swing along with caramel and mild nuts. The taste followed with some very mild hops. Not to bad.

I believe Moretti fancies this beer a doppel bock, at least that’s how I interpret the "doppio malto" on the label. Pours dark orangish with a very nice off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, bready lager yeast, with a note of dried fruits. Taste is sweet caramel malt with some fruity overtones. Little bit of spicy and alcohol catches up in the finish, but the alcohol is basically imperceptible. Mouthfeel is full bodied with lush carbonation. I was quite impressed with this beer as a total package. It delivers its alcohol payload in a pretty little package with no rough edges. Best Italian beer I’ve ever had.

I got this with a 10 pack of beers from around the world. It poured a dark amber, cola-like color with a 1" off-white head. At first I was turned off by the bitterness, but the more I drank it the more I liked it. Loads of nutty, malty, caramely flavor with a hint of chocolate to boot. And the fact that it’s made by the people at Heineken makes it more extraordinary.

Found at the local Italian restaurant, surprised they had something I hadnt rated yet so I got it, and was quite surprised to find it was actually pretty dang good. Pour was a little watery, carbonated, dark amber, with mild white head. Aroma is solid, big caramel, malt, sweetness, raisin, and a bit bready. Flavor is actually slightly chewy, malts be sure to be known. Pretty steady outing from the old boys at Heineken.

A sweet malty aroma, pours a rich amber with a thick white head. The malts come through, sweet, caramel, grapfruit, slight sourness, crisp hop finish. Feels very carbonated on palate.

Wow, is this really Italian? Pretty reddish brown colour. Aroma and flavour is very pleasant and malty (caramel), perhaps even with hints of dark fruits. Balanced by a nicely bitter finish. The body is not "full" enough but otherwise a fine bock!

First off, let me begin by saying im impressed. Not only does this beer taste half way decent it also gives the impression of looking and smelling like a good beer. In the aroma a strong presence of chocolate, malt, and caramel is heavily indicated in the nose. Color is a beautiful dark and mysterious brown or red color and holds a strong lasting head through out the drink. Flavor is okay and has a considerable amount of caramel and roasted malts. Finish is sweet and dry and holds up much better than the regular plain beer of Birra Moretti

Read/brown pour, with a white head. Aromas are malt, hops, brown sugar, and fruit. Flavor is brown sugar, malt, and hops. Not as good as the aromas leads you to believe, but certainly not terrible either.
