I had it the first time at an Italian restaurant in Chicago - and it blows away Peroni and normal Birra Moretti. DrBeer (777), Danderyd Stockholm, Sweden

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 01/08 0.33 l bottle from Interspar, Udine. It poured a red body with bigger ivory head. Some caramel malts and hints of hops in its fine aroma. Flavor is pleasant as well, sweetish with caramel, candy, bready and fruity malts. Some wood or peat hints as well. It’s relatively full bodied with longer, sweet aftertaste. Nice one, deserves the top place in Italian macro beer list. Doggythedog (1602), Split, Croatia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2009 0.33l bottle courtesy of heavy who brought it from Italy (thanks!) Poured a nice reddish brown body with a thick medium sized off white head that went away at a medium pace. Sweet malty nose with notes of caramel, slightly dusty and dry (from the hops I guess). A fine sweet malt taste ending with a nice breadiness and some mouth drying slightly metallic bitter hops in the finish. Lightly woody. Not terribly complex but the alcohol is quite tame. Remarkably good considering the brewer. No huge faults to it, even the metallic quality doesn’t annoy all that much. thirdeye11 (564), Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2009 (12oz bottle thanks to Cavie) Pours a clear chocolate brown with no head but great lacing. Some alcohol and milk chocolate in the nose. Taste is creamy chocolate and has a great palette finish. Seems I like this beer more than most. phaleslu (589), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Quartino in Chicago. Pours nice brown amber with medium off-white head that doesn’t linger very long. Aroma of malt, grains, hay, caramel, very light hops. Malt flavor with caramel and nuts. Dry and a little syrup in the mouthfeel. Not bad for what I was expecting.
