| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Nice doppelbock. Dark reddish-brown, half-opaque. Soft but pleasing aroma, caramel I think. Sweet flavor, nicely complemented by crisp palate. Don’t expect a blow-away beer, just a solid example of the style. Much comparable to Weihenstephaner Korbinian. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 27, 2004 Big-bodied, chocolatey, sweet, fruity (plum) aroma with some notes of alcohol. Clear, dark amber, brown with thin white head that diminishes to cover with some minor lacing. Rich, malty flavour with light fruitiness and some notes of toasted malts. Smooth in the mouth with medium-full body and mild carbonation. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere. mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA

It has a nice rich body and a complex slightly sweet flavor. A hearty brew without the atendent bitterness. Italy’s Guiness Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Nice off-white foamy head, sticky. Medium brown body. Aroma of candy is very earthy as well. All about the malt in here, no compromise. A bit one-dimensional on the tongue, chocolatey, very earthy. Dry all the way through. Finish is roasty, bitter yet malty. It remains fairly well made, but is not quite classy. Medium body, soft carbonation. DaSilky1 (2022), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2004 Nice burnt amber with a large head. caramel, berry, must, and straw in the nose. Quite nice malty flavors with caramel and berry coming through the most, with a decent background yeast profile, hidden alcohol, and a nice full body. kayrus (8), Italy does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2004 The best Moretti’s beer. Dark-brow, caramel malty, sweet but not too much. Quite common, in all supermarkets in Italy. vanvenlo (794), Glen Iris, Australia

I’d like to rerate this beer, I may have been a bit harsh.
