Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Pours a deep amber color. Slight banana aroma. Subtle malty flavor, with a slightly roasty finish. Good full flavored bock. Slight hint of alcohol that gives it a nice little bite at the end.

Beer tasted while sitting at my campsite ,poured into clear ,hard plastic glass. In appearance its a nice warming brown ,with garnet accents, excellent looking massive light tan head, that leaves good lacing. The aroma I found to be weak, maybe the bottle was too cold?.What there is consists of malts..good ones . The taste is way better than the aroma, a good solid malty doppelbock( kinda redundant, i know!), slight medicinal taste , then very good alcohol wrming all the way down to my belly. Nice and smooth on the palate, despite the noticable alcohol. Very nice drinkable and warming campfire beer..wish I had

In the bottle at a crappy West Omaha overpriced Eye-talian restaurant. Is this a marzen? Looks, smells and tastes like one. Nice malt aroma. Dark amber to brown in appearance. Poor head retesion. Good solid up front malt flavor. Finishes crisp and light. About the best Italian beer I’ve ever had. Too bad the meal sucked!

Nice dark caramel color. Sweet malty aroma. What a sweet malty morsel this is. Has a little bit of a bite to it, still somewhat tasty. Vaguely balanced, has some underlining spice character. Worth trying.

Clear dark brown body, wisps of white foam on top. The aroma has a touch of chocolate bitterness and licorice, it’s acually quite faint. Face-twisting sweetness: marshmallow fluff, molasses, and rasin. Way too sweet for me.
