Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Reddish-brown pour with an off-white head. Sweet malt aroma, roasted and caramel malt. Nice taste-sweet, caramel, roasted malt-abit dry finish. Leaves a nice malty, semi sweet aftertaste.

Dark clear copper appearance. Malty aroma. Seems quite rich from the aroma. Not the best beer to have in the sun. Bitter tangy finish. Malt to start. A kind of syrupy texture.

Bottle. Sweet caramel malt aroma with light astringency. Dark brown color with small head. Creamy caramel malt flavor with light bitter/astringent finish. Also had on tap - no astringency noted - more like a dunkel.

Pours a light brown with lots of light getting through; head is frothy light tan, becomes not so froathy. Aromas of sweet roasty malts and spice. Flavors of malt with sweet caramel undertone, finishes with a semi-dry hop, imitates oak alittle. Medium body at best.eh!
