Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Bottle. Drank from a tumbler. Pours a rosy brown with a small tan head. Malty and caramel aromas. Has a full malt flavor with a light alcohol taste. A good beer when you’re at an Italian place.

Beautiful amber body with a tan head, the rich flavor--mucho malt, bit of roasted barley--is marred by a gritty sensation on the finish.

Brown pour...frothy head. Aroma of roasted malt and floral hops. Taste is bitter sweet malt accented by the hops.

Drank this out of the bottle at a wedding. Sweet aroma, artificially sweet flavor with hints of malt and a lot of alcohol. Mouthfeel is thick and abrupt, like a sudden bought with diarrhea. Finish is reminiscent of bathroom cleaning chemicals. I Have no desire to ever try this again.

Overall Impression: The darker a slightly better of the 2 Birra Moretti’s you can find all over the place, still not a great one though.

Crushed with Jakebra. Thin body. Some roast and sweet malt on the nose. Flavor is about the same. Not much to this one, but I’ve been drinking such shit lately that this one passes as almost aight.

33oml bottle. 300ml straight glass. Pours a clear brown. White head. Chocolate, nutty almost smokey nose. Rich malty taste, hint of hazelnuts. Can taste a bit of alcohol on the throat as it goes down. Still a nice beer.
