Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Wow..very impressive dark bock from the same brewery that makes that forgettable pale lager that good italian restaurants always push in the states. This roasted bocks is smooth, malty, and hides it’s 7.2% very well. I enjoyed this!

Copper with floaties and a thin tan head and wavy lacing. Aroma of Vienna malts, noble hops and a candied cola-like flavor. Taste of mild cardboard, toffee, malt and syrupy. Finishes up with a peppery finish. Not very good.

Nice aroma and full-bodied. Dopplebocks are my favorites and this beer was nice. This has a sweet caramel malt flavor and a dry aftertaste.

Clear dark amber colored, average light brown head. Light caramel aroma and taste, dry and bitter end. Some vague butter-smell. Far better than i expected.

bottle - This is one of the better industrial beers available in Italy, it’s one I drink quite a bit of as it has an excellent price / quality ratio (here in Italy at least ). It pours a dark orangey-brown with a small off-white head. Very sweet aroma with lots of malt and brown sugar with fruit. The taste is just as sweet without being cloying with a bit of caramel and light hint of alcohol but never overbearing. Even with the high alcohol content this beer is very drinkable. I’m not sure I like the new bottle and label though.

Bottle. Poured a clear light brown with a slight red hue and a thin off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet malts as well as a bit of a roasted undertone. Flavor was sweet from the malts with notes of cereal and grain.
