pour is dark copper with tan head, nice aroma of molasses and caramel and slightly nutty. The flavor leans more toward molasses and chocolate this is a very malty brew and i wish i would have picked this up months ago after passing it up so many times at the store, if you are a fan of doppelbocks you will really enjoy this!

Aug 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. Brown-tinged red with a fizzy 2-finger head. Roasted malt aroma with some dark fruits. Roasted grain taste with plum and raisin notes, with caramel and banana in the finish. Medium bodied.

Aug 20, 2008 Sampled from bottle, it pours a dark reddish copper colour, which carries a fairly large tan head. Aroma is of grainy alcohol, heavily roasted malts, toffee and ripe fruit. Mouthfeel is full, creamy on the palate, flavor is noticeably chocolate infused with raisins, plums and pomegranate flavors.

Aug 15, 2008 12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Pours burnt copper in color with a creamy off-white head. Smells of biscuit and caramel. Tastes of caramel and raisins, light but firm bitterness. My first of this style and I must say that it is quite enjoyable.
