Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear yellow with little to no head. Light malt aroma with a hint or orange. Very watered down flavor. But some maltiness that goes with a dry finish. OK, but not great.

0.66 l bottle. Pours pale yellow body with small white head disappearing soon. Aroma of sweet malt with just a hint of orange hops. Not the way I like... Flavor also nothing special. Sweetish, not too thin but also a bit sour. Totally uninteresting and plain. Palate comes with short bitter finish, small carbonation and pretty watery texture. Well, I expected much more, as maybe the best of Italian beers I’ve tried last days, which were not bad at all, but this is just about the average brew.

330 ml bottle - Pale yellow with thin white head. Thin bodied with medium carbonation. Weak watery flavour with a light bitter finish. Won’t be trying it again.

Watery yellow in appearance with a very thin and rapidly disapearing white head. Thin bodied. Watery and flavourless. Low to moderate bitterness in the finish. Bland and boring!

yea, nothing really special here, its ok, pretty mildly hoppy. It doesnt smell that attractive. however, the smell of a beer doesnt affect the beer that much for me. I guess you can say it tastes like a mild heineken. apparently its brewed by heineken. if i was gonna have an italian beer id rather have a peroni.

Bottle. It pours clear, quite pale golden, and is topped by a small, diminishing white head. Somehow, it gives a watery impression from the very moment I start to pour, and that impression is soon going to be confirmed. First the nose. Not that there’s much of it. It is vague, grainy, fruity and sweet, with a metallic note lurking in the background, becoming more evident as the beer warms up. The metallic note that is. It has a decent crispness, but it’s very watery on the palate, leaving not much room for the malt and hops. There’s a grassyness that takes control over the flavor rather quickly, and stays with you till the very end, with some bitterness lingering. It also feels a bit too gassy, and as it warmes up a bit, a tiny note of citrus and cooked vegetables occur.

Someone else mention that it is repeatable. I say when in Rome I’m willing to do as the Romans do, or in this case, when in Udine, do as the Udineses (or what on earth they are called) do. Everywhere else, I’m sure I’ll find something more interesting. (070905)
