Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

66cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a big white head that disappears quickly. Lightly hoppy and malty aroma. Dry taste with hay and cerals. Watery and quite weak. Not a beer I will have again.

Poured from 12oz bottle, found at Embassy, Roseville, MI. May be the quickest, shortest lived head I’ve ever seen. Looks of pale urine, and smells the same. The flavor is indescribable, in that I’ve never tasted something that had this little to offer in that department, at least from a pale lager. It leaves a bit of something on the palate, but not desirable.

33 cl bottle. Golden/yellow color. Moderate white head. It´s malty and has hints of hops. But I don´t understand why they bother import this to Norway.

355 mL bottle from the LCBO, served cold in a Vespa. AU25/07

App.: Clear straw, smallish white foam. Aroma: Fair green, grassy hops, light cereal. Palate: Medium-light body, light-ish carbonation, a bit astringent. Flav.: More cereal than hops, a little bitterness, flinty mineral finish.

Italians should stick to wine...especially Italians under the control of large Dutch brewers.

12 oz. bottle at Prego’s Trattoria in Burlington, NC. Not much to choose from at this restaurant, so I had this. Clear light yellow, white head. Faint aroma of grain or grass, but not much else. Light body, clean, effervescent. Flavor is pretty thin, but slightly sweet initially, with a soft bitterness for a tolerably dry finish. Drinkable, but uninspired.

Draught, small head which quickly dissapears, deep yellow colour, a little maltiness on the nose, quite bitter but smooth to drink, not bad.
