Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Bottle. Clear pale golden with a medium sized white head. A bit malty with notes of metal, bread and candlewax. Quite boring.

A typical pale lager with a pleasant taste and very inoffensive overall. In beer-starved Italy, this is OK in a pinch.

light on taste and lighter on palate. this beer needs a swift kick in the pants. The dude on the bottle is pretty neat to look at - such a cool mustache, it’s sort of a foam filter if you will.

Pours yellow with a thin head, moderate retention. Aroma is straight up grass. The flavour is sweet at first with some malt flavour but not much else, and then a flash of hops with a sour finish. Will probably never buy this beer again.

Subdued honey and hay aroma. Yellow color, medium head. Rather flavorless with only the slightest hint of honey. Fairly good hop finish.

On draught at Osteria da Primo in Burien. Aroma is pils malt forward and some metallic/carb texture. Beer is a clear light yellow, with a very solid white head. Flavor is clean, bright and pilsy with light bittering. Texture is light, no craminess, resiny, with some light warmth. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s been a while since I had this in a bottle and always remembered it having a stale, metallic sense. I only got the slightest bit of that in the aroma this time, and definitely recommend trying this on tap for comparison.
