Commercial Description:
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Draft at Tutta Bella. Light amber, clear body with a decent sudsy white head. Sweet corn nose. Tingly, light body and mild attack; mid-palate shot through with corn and very little finish. That said, surprisingly drinkable, and it’s like a perfect butler--there when you need it (in this case, alongside rich salad and wood-fired pizza), but knows how to stay out of the way. I’ll drink it again someday I am sure.

Small head. Malty smell. Dry aftertaste. A pretty much standard lager with a little bit extra. Nice as a thirst killer.

Bottle, 66 cl. Pale clear yellow, small white head. Weak but clean malt aroma, faint grassy hops. Light in body, watery, but decent carbonation. A moderate bitterness makes this beer drinkable.

Bouteille. Arôme de gazon et houblons. Couleur dorée clair, très mince lacet qui s’estompe. Goût malté, houblon floral, carbonatation assez forte. Arrière-goût léger en amertume. Lager correcte.

(Bottled) Pale golden with a smallish, bubbly and quickly fading head. Grassy-lemony-hoppy aroma with corny malt. Lemony, crisp and somewhat grainy flavor with hints of toffee, and grassy hops in the finish. Light-bodied, neutral palate with a bit fizzy carbonation. A reasonably crisp and refreshing lager, but nothing more.

Bottle. Not much in the nose. Color is clear pale yellow. Taste is pretty well-balanced and flavorful for the style, a little bit of hop presence. Palate is strong enough to make up for the lack of anything else.

Bought this beer in bottle here in Ireland, it brought back memories of long balmy sicillian evenings, I was a little dissapointed in the bottled version, but I think it is a fairly above average standard beer
