Commercial Description:
Ambershock® is an amber beer produced by way of infusion, with 7.0% alcohol by volume (17.7 Plato degrees). The wort boiling phase is prolonged in this case to obtain a certain caramelizing of the sugars in the wort. Strong, full-bodied and mellow, its marked yet well-balanced malt flavor mainly derives from a special bottle-conditioning process that lasts for approximately 4 weeks. Bear in mind that this is not a refermentation phase caused by adjunct sugar or wort, which happens with Trappist beers. It is an exclusive procedure adopted by Birrificio Italiano® of Lurago Marinone. That is why Ambershock® is only sold in bottles. If it were matured in vats and served on tap, it would have a completely different taste. Bottle conditioning also brings about perfect settling of the yeast, which makes it possible to have a perfectly limpid beer with a strong, bright amber color.

Bottle, BSF at the GBBF. Hazy burnt amber pour, lots of sticky tan head. Thick garden perfume sort of smell. Grassy hops with an herbal touch, apricots, a bit of toasted good white bread. Chewy toasted grain malt, musky sweetness, brisk herbal hop bitterness. Lots of good flavor and a pleasantly brash sort of beer.

beautiful coper apricot color with a nice head that falls fairly fast. aroma is caramelized malt and sweet proofing dough. totally balanced with a touch of sweetness upfront that gives way to a pleasant finish that is just a touch bitter and malty. the beer lingers long on the palate.

Bottle. [Courtesy of thewolf, thanks buddy] Average creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Cloudy amber colour. Aroma of citrus, fruit, malt and grain. Over the palate came toasted malt and mild spice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderate sweet flavour. Sweet malty finish.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours a hazy orange amber with a big, frothy off white head. Great, great duration. Sweet caramel, light apple and a subdued herbal touch to the aroma. Low carbonation and rather creamy. Flavour is vinious, toffee and quite bitter. Subdued herbal flowers and a good dryness.

Bottle. High creamy off white and lasting head. Hazy amber body. Weak flower aroma plus a bit of caramel. Fruity caramel flavor and a bit of nuts but without much hops bitterness. Heavily carbonated and a long bitter aftertaste.
