Commercial Description:
Ambershock® is an amber beer produced by way of infusion, with 7.0% alcohol by volume (17.7 Plato degrees). The wort boiling phase is prolonged in this case to obtain a certain caramelizing of the sugars in the wort. Strong, full-bodied and mellow, its marked yet well-balanced malt flavor mainly derives from a special bottle-conditioning process that lasts for approximately 4 weeks. Bear in mind that this is not a refermentation phase caused by adjunct sugar or wort, which happens with Trappist beers. It is an exclusive procedure adopted by Birrificio Italiano® of Lurago Marinone. That is why Ambershock® is only sold in bottles. If it were matured in vats and served on tap, it would have a completely different taste. Bottle conditioning also brings about perfect settling of the yeast, which makes it possible to have a perfectly limpid beer with a strong, bright amber color.

A hazy orange beer with a dense beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, and a touch of flowers. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruits, and a bit of yeast giving it a spicy note.

Hazy red-amber color; creamy head. There is some caramel aroma, lightly perfumy and with a light buttery note. Good body; it has a basic caramel flavor and balanced bitterness. Missing some emotions.

Red-amber color, generous thick head.
Very nice hop aroma, perfect marriage of malt and hop, almost fruity (banana, ...)
Incredibly complex flavor, perfectly mixing the malt (very strong), the hop, the caramel...
Sweeter in the font, drier in the strong final, a lot aromatic (2nd in Italy only to the Tipopils).
A giant brew, that can be compared to the best Belgian ones!

Red amber bock. Good malt aroma. Good body, well balanced, good malt, light caramel, light yeast taste. Palate is balanced, alcoholic; malty palate, stronger than the hop.

Courtesy of Bo from Aakjærs in Esbjerg who gave me this a few days before the BB, and I had it a few days after. It is hazy, orange-brown with a creamy head. The aroma is sour with notes of malt, yeast and citrus. The flavour is slightly sour, tart, no sweetness, notes of malt, yeast, citrus and light fruit. It is either very far from what a bock normally is, or else it is infected, and I’m pretty sure it is.

Botella. Rating # 3700. Long waited tasting of a beer from this brewery, thanks señor Lobo (thewolf). Pours a hazy amber-red colour with a nice creamish off white head leaving a good lacing. Sweet caramel and malty aroma with some staple and fruit. Good mouthfeel. Sweet malty caramel flavour with a pleasant bitterness. The finish is sweet and malty with a mild bitterness.
