| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2008 My Bottom Line:
This wealthy Weizen develops lots of cloves and bananas over chewy wheat in a nourishing and soft vehicle.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A dollop of creamy foam laces all around the cloudy beige-yellow.
-The yeast was a tad too present in the nose and flavor profile for my liking, but it was doing a great job otherwise (it’s a Weihenstephaner strain, not surprisingly).
-Effervescence was quite soft on the palate which made the mouthfeel even more comforting.
-All flavors were well organized and levelled.

Comments: A fine weizen that did not quite reach my expectations, admittedly very high. A bit mild and strangely fruity (pear?) in the nose, but straight and adequate flavours that are well-put and very soft-edged in their evolution.

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 10, 2003 This beer is brewed only in the summer season. Blond colour, great, creamy head. The flavour is malty and spicy, really well balanced, without the typical acidity of some of the German wheat beers. Refreshing, very drinkable, maybe the best weizen I've ever drunk! fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2002 Cloudy blond colour, generous thick head (the picture is a true image of every served glass). Very nice classic aroma, spicy (coriander and cloves scent - no addictions of course - ) and malty. Pretty malty and sweet, traditional. Ordinary palate. In my opinion the B.I is the best Italian brewery, but this one doesn’t match their exceptional Tipopils; I will taste it again in better conditions. omhper (12261), Stockholm, Sweden
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 9, 2002 Pale yellow, very hazy with a creamy head. Soft, rather estery and full flavoured hefeweizen. I had it on draught on a +40C summer day, which was a near unbeatable combination. This hefeweizen would make many Bavarian brewers green of envy.
