750 ml bottle poured a cloudy golden amber with a lingering ivory head. Aromas of currants, carmel, light barnyard and a hint of leather. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of currants, carmel and light spice with a crisp lingering sweet finish.

draft. a dry gritty wheat with light berry flavoring. reminds me of an ephemere - the funky, fruity tones of the yeast are really nice. tart , dry finish. i only had a sample of this one but it was extremely tastey. if it hadn’t been so pricey i would have had several.

It took my a long time to pick this up, due to the high sticker price and low rating score. However, I spotted this with a reasonable price tag and I am not disappointed. As advertised, this weirdly shaped bottle (which makes tilting a pain) pours with a huge head, which never goes away leaving a very sticky lacing on the side of the glass. The color is a very dirty, murky, muted yellow, with no clarity at all. The more you pour the darker and dirtier it gets. I love the head but the color needs some work, just ends up looking like a dirty beer. At the last pour, with all the floaties, its almost a brown color. Aroma is full of thick, mainly slightly aged, Belgian malts with some alcohol coming through as well. Some airy Belgian character with sweet yeasty dough-ness and a light berry at the very end of the aroma. Taste is again surprisingly strong with some alcohol, thick golden maltiness which comes off as a bit like golden syrup. The best part is the finish which givrs a kick of chocolate and then dark chocolate berry liqueur. Its a strong, sweet kick and this is where the cassis shines.

Poured from a 750ml bottle (bottled on February 14, 2005) and served in a champagne flute. This bottle was a gusher. Extremely carbonated and full of endless foam. The beer poured a cloudy yellow-tinged light brown with a huge head of slowly fading beige bubbles. The aroma of the beer was made up of caramel, bread, wood, and a healthy dose of berries and dark fruit. The flavor consisted of currants, caramel, toffee-covered apples, and sourdough bread. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with lush, active carbonation. Not all that interesting, but still enjoyable.

Draft @ Coles Buffalo NY. Pours a cloundy hefeweizen orange. Aromas of sour berries & lambic like funkiness. Yeasty. Taste is sour lambic like with berry & belgian yeast. Nice creaminess & medium mouthfeel. Pretty good

Foggy orange in color. Huge fluffy egg-white head. Aroma of nice sweet berries. Surprisingly mild on the palate with the fruit. Wonderful effervesence. Would be very refreshing on a hot day.

750 ml bottle, RBNAG07. Amber colour. Cloudy. Gusher. Tall off-white fluffy head that clings to the glass. Very high carbonation level. Light spicy notes and somewhat soapy. Light fruity flavours. Blackcurrants indeed, but there is more. Slightly acidic.

Bottle, thanks to rickgordon. Hazy orange color, white head. Malty, fruity cherry aroma. Cherry flavor, berries, a bit sweet, bready and a bit sour.
