Kinz (1916), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Jun 1, 2008 Light amber, dark gold with a massive to the point of annoying white head. Aroma was pleasant, honey accented malts, some spice, a bit of a yeasty note, and a dark fruity finish. Flavor was a match. This was much like a saison accented with cassis as opposed to a syrupy mess, which I greatly appreciated. Not bad, but the high level of carbonation was actually to the level of irritating, getting in the way of the experience.

Taste is sweet almost cloying with an over abundance of carbonation. jason (1509), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Gusher alert! Poured a big foamy body wiith some dark orange body. Aroma is light fruit and wheat. Aroma is sweet medium malt, some sharp. Taste is sweet, then medium malt, some sharp. Minimal carbonation. JoeMcPhee (3807), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Deep orange-ruddy beer, very cloudy with a light white head. Aroma is lightly fruity and quite earthy. There is a soft dustiness. It’s fruity but not overly sweet. It’s quite nice really. Lean and quite drinkable. Spritzy carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Probably the only cassis beer that I’ve truly enjoyed.
