Bottle sample at Union Beer Trade Tasting, NYC. Honey-golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is very floral - lots of rose, clover and honey. Flavour is light, with similar floral notes to the flavour but more subdued. Fairly simple, but a nice & unique beer.

Poured a golden color with hints of amber, thin initial head, and weak lacing. The aroma was wheaty, floral, spicy (ginger?). The flavor was wheaty, dry, spiced with some pepper and light ginger, pretty odd spicing going on, I liked Berts live "dill pickle" descriptor. Mouthfeel was dry and thin, somewhat acidic. A light but not so enjoyable beer. Good thing this was only 3.8%, as Bert had to down more than half of this on his own after I took off. Thanks, Bert!

One of the funnest brew of the tasting. Hazed amber color with a moderate white head. Funky aromas with lavender, spice, cinnamon, and hints of brett. Mildly citric in the flavor, with light lemon grove and wild flowers fields in the background. Equally as complex as pannepot, but the flavors and aroma, to me, where much more enjoyable.

Comes in a 1 liter swing top bottle. Pours a blshing orange-amber with a small white head. Thankfully, this has none of the explosiveness that the Cassissona had! Aroma is unique, to say the least! I smell rose water, rye bread, tart berries, peppery spices, and some Brett-like notes. Taste is soft flowers, mellow rose water, pepper, touch of dill, sweet malts, and light tart fruitiness. Body is light but well carbonated. Ends with more spices, rose water, bread, light tart fruits, and light earthiness.

Pre-GTMW tasting @ 1FastSTi’s place. Hazy pale with off-white head. Light horse, bread and cookie dough aroma. The flavor with lightly tart, lemon and peach. The mouthfeel is light with soft carbonation and slightly thin. 8/4/8/3/14

rerated based on sample from argo0 Much more funky this time around with an improved mouthfeel.

Murkey pinkish orange, lasting fizzy off-white head. Sour orange aroma. Plant/leaf/orange watery taste. Meh. Done. Post-rating note to self: what did I miss? Rerate?

Hazy pink grapefruit color with saliva like bubbles spreading around the wrung. The aroma is an f’in garden party. Juniper, boysenberry, rose hips, lemon grass and mint tea leaves. Pepper cleaves and kernels round it out with a spicy flair. Pepper comes out more in the flavor along with a souring grapefruit squeeze into an iced rose hip flavored tea. Effervescence mires activity while the tea leaves and lavender breezes interject more earthly traits. Glimpses of limeade are confounded with mixed, tart, tropical squeezes. Ruby red grapefruit taints rise with quips of lavender petals submerged under the surface. Strange stuff, with a peppery turn at the end, but a damn fun beer to try, all thanks to JPDIPSO.

Aroma is funky with some barnyard, leather, sweaty locker room, salt and bready caramel with mulling spices and oranges. Cloudy pinkish amber with a thin, white head and some floaties. Flavor starts with sour orange, sweet and grainy caramel and some sweat. Overall the flavor is a bit thin compared to the aroma. Very light body, almost watery texture and nice carbonation. Thanks to JPDIPSO for sharing.
