argo0 (6145), Washington DC, USA Aug 10, 2007 (IL bottle) Small off-white head atop yeast-flecked cloudy apple cider body. Aroma is moderately sweet, spicy/fruity (pear, nectarine), some pepper. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, pear, some spice. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Sep 10, 2002 Cloudy orange-light amber colour, beautiful head, creamy, lace. Original aroma, like a wine wort, scent of Fragola grape, prunes, light elderflowers. Light body (anyway necessary to exalt the floral notes), floral, delicate; dry, pretty bitter. Simple palate. Original but not outstanding. Rastacouere (5258), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 6, 2007 Draught at the brewery. Cloudy amber pour covered with the usual Birrificio Italiano charming and enormous, firm, lasting white head. Highly perfumey aroma, almost explosive. It is hard to believe that this holds under 4% ABV. Rosewater and lightly honeyed, toasted maltiness. A most original effort, sensuously sweet and flowery, grainy and with a certain refreshing tartness. Not as complex as its ingredients’s list, but very easy to drink and surely well integrated. I’ll try again from the bottle and will adjust my opinion accordingly, because this is the kind of beer that you rarely face. CaptainCougar (4624), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 10, 2007 Sampled on 2/3/07, thanks to boboski: Pours a transparent dark golden bronze with a fizzy, white, wispy-lacing head. Has a dry, earthy, bright floral aroma with a hint of sweetness and tartness. Body starts with an airy palate with some mild sweet and sour flavors with a touch of black pepper toward a thinner, drier floral finish. An interesting brew.
