This was to be my first experience with a beer bearing the name "zoigl", and I was concerned about my planned visit to Windischeschenbach and Neuhaus a few days later. Luckily, this isn’t much like zoiglbier. Just a plain-jane, slightly clumsy amber lager IMHO. joss (3076), Garching b. München, Germany Nov 15, 2007 Bottle. Light dusty fruit nose.Cloudy amber, big creamy golden head. Fairly flat first impression, soapy fruit, minerals, citric touch, light earthy berry aftertaste. Wasnt super-impressed. pivnizub (3600), Porúří, Germany Nov 15, 2007 Bügelverschlußflasche (many thanks to joss!): Slightly hazy, deep golden to copper coloured, big creamy-rocky head with a good lace, enormous citrousy touch in the robust sweet-grainy nose; sweet-bitter flavour, smooth MF; distinctive citrus-fruity aromas in the sweet-malty and bitter finish. A very good one........
