The aroma has funky sharp nectar fruit that are crisp along with light lemon and spice. Medium body that starts crisp and then gets more full bodied and has very sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with pepper, off-fruitiness, very dry, sweet tarts and a bit of veggie. The finish gets spicier and has some funk. An okay saison. Acknud (792), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA

Pour is just a touch of haze and is straw yellow. Nice looking 1 1/2 inch white head. Aroma of wheat and faint earthy Belgian yeastiness. Taste is initially tart sour wheat, spice, earthiness and very crisp. Nice hop bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Really nice Saison with great complexity. This reminded me of the Westy Blond. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Pours a great clear golden color with nice big frothy white head. Nose is solid spicy, yeast and a bit of flowery aromas. Taste is crisp, medium bodied with good spice and some barnyard flavors. Again, some creamy hibisucs flavors near the end. Very nice carbonation and smooth finish. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Pours cloudy gold with a big head. Nose is yeasty, smooth, and sweet. Flavor is very unique. When I taste it, I think farmhouse. Straw on the floor. Earthy yeasty goodness. Bitter end. Seems to be well balanced, though at the end there is an almost metallic and inky aftertaste and also a robust and hearty flavor left as well. If it weren’t for that (metal and ink), I’d give it a 4.5 on the flavor. Feel is thick with carbonation and smooth. Very drinkable.

Pours a clear golden color, with a small white head. Nice crisp refreshing taste, some spice notes, medium body, very refreshing. This is a tasty beer, seems to be missing some of the tartness I would expect, but overall a tasty beer.
