Commercial Description:
In the past era, hard working rural "Saisonniers" consumed 5 liters per day of this style beer. We re-created it for today's modern worker using Belgian yeasts and sour mashing for a refreshing spiceness and acidity to enliven your palate. Bottle conditioning leaves some sediment, so decant by slowly pouring into a wide mouth glass. Refill this bottle at your favorite local brewery.

Swing cap bottle shared with willblake and Dickinsonbeer. Poured a hazy orangey/amber with a small head. Aroma was yeasty with lots of earth notes and some light spice and pepper as well. Flavor was a suprise with a strong amount of caramel malt present. Probably one of the best saisons I have ever had, mostly because I don’t think it tasted like a saison.

Bottled. Godlen coloured. Unclear. Not much head. Barnyard, citrus, light grape, earth and psice in the aroma. Flavour is earthy, siced, sweet and has light bretty notes. Very fresh. Medium bodied. Is dry. Grapish and sour end. Nice one. Very refreshing.

.5 liter bottle. I think Larry Pitonka sent me this a while ago. Thanks. Pours a slightly hazy golden, yeasty with a fluffy white head which fades a bit. Aroma is doughy yeasty, phenolic, light pepper, cob-webs and cake-batter hints, not really close to a try dupont aroma though. More dough and yeast in the flavor, but everything is pretty subdued and bland- herbal hop finihs. Nice dry finish. Ok saison, but not great.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Hazy, pale amber golden with a white head. Spicy, slightly perfumy aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet, fruity notes. Plenty of yeast and diacetyl. Not overly thrilling. 270607

Cloudy orange, fairly large head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is spiced and has orange notes with pepper and yeast, some toastedness. Medium bodied with a fairly dry finish, enjoyable.

Swingtop bottle poured a hazy gold with a large dense lasting white head. Aromas of pears, spices, yeast and a hint of melon. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of graininess, spices, some general fruitiness and yeast with a crisp dry finish.
