Commercial Description:
In the past era, hard working rural "Saisonniers" consumed 5 liters per day of this style beer. We re-created it for today's modern worker using Belgian yeasts and sour mashing for a refreshing spiceness and acidity to enliven your palate. Bottle conditioning leaves some sediment, so decant by slowly pouring into a wide mouth glass. Refill this bottle at your favorite local brewery.

2007 bottle. Light copper body topped by a medium sized off-white head that dissipates quickly to a thin film. Earthy, musty, aroma that has also some sweetness and white wine notes. Flavor is of bready malt, wheat, yeast, lemony tartness, a bit of hops, and some funkiness. Finishes off-dry with some pleasant bitterness. A little thin compared to the 2006 but still a very nice effort.

Pale color with amazing head. Fizzy, great carbonation. Crisp, with the mild yeast flavors balanced well with the hops. Well made and great on the palate.

A- Pours a hazy and dense pale orange hue, head is 3-fingers of white, creamy foam, fair lacing on the glass S- Aroma is crisp and light floral and citrus hops, some hints of honey, lemon grass, spices and earth, sweet yeast/bread malts in the background T- Initial taste is mostly floral and herbal hops, followed by some citrus and bread flavors, the finish is biting and dry, almost like champage M- Very light-bodied saison, watery and smooth texture, the carbonation is aggressive biting which distracts the palate, but is characteristic of this style D- Very smooth and refreshing farmhouse ale that feels on the lighter side of abv for the style, good drinkability, but the carbonation is a bit of a turnof

2007 bottle. Not enjoyable - a little too spicy, not gonna lie. Skunky, citrus, and barnyard aroma Ginger, cinammon, and yeast flavor, with some alcohol at the ending. Dry texture with light - medium carbonation.

Farmhouse Reserve 2007. Pours with a hazed golden yellow body with a small, white head and good lace. Aroma of sweet pears, earthy brett, honey and pepper. Taste is honey pepper and bread dough. Fizzy and dry. Not as good as I was hoping for.

Bottle. Mild fruity, spicy aroma. Hazy golden amber body, moderate head. Sweetish yeasty flavor, a bit overly mild. Disappointing overall.

22 oz bottle: Pours bright golden with moderate carbonation and head. Zesty pucker, citrus peel, with a bit richer body than typical for style. Finishes with a little earthiness.

Pours a bright golden orange with a one finger frothy white head. The nose is spicy, citrusy, very earthy yeasty character, mild grassy hop character. The flavor is citrusy, yeasty, could be a bit more pronounced, earthy, lemongrass, very flavorful, develops a mild spicy character. Crisp carbonated palate and finishes yeasty, orange peel, spicy. Very tasty.
