Light copper body topped by a medium sized off-white head that dissipates quickly to a thin film. Earthy, musty, aroma that has also some sweetness and white wine notes. Flavor is of bready malt, wheat, yeast, lemony tartness, a bit of hops, and some funkiness. Finishes off-dry with some pleasant bitterness. A little thin compared to the 2006 but still a very nice effort. Nik925 (305), California, USA

Crisp, with the mild yeast flavors balanced well with the hops. Well made and great on the palate. BrotherGrendel (587), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2009 A- Pours a hazy and dense pale orange hue, head is 3-fingers of white, creamy foam, fair lacing on the glass
S- Aroma is crisp and light floral and citrus hops, some hints of honey, lemon grass, spices and earth, sweet yeast/bread malts in the background
T- Initial taste is mostly floral and herbal hops, followed by some citrus and bread flavors, the finish is biting and dry, almost like champage
M- Very light-bodied saison, watery and smooth texture, the carbonation is aggressive biting which distracts the palate, but is characteristic of this style
D- Very smooth and refreshing farmhouse ale that feels on the lighter side of abv for the style, good drinkability, but the carbonation is a bit of a turnof m4rest88 (216), Beverly Hills, California, USA
