| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Pours a transparent orange amber with a thin wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of peppery, dry, earthy caraway hops with a hint of caramel malt. Body starts lightly sweet and very bitter, with some resiny earthy, bittering hop presence toward a peppery finish. I don’t know if I’m a big fan of single hop Amarillo IPAs. shp555 (1683), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Bottle: Pours a golden/orange color with thin white head. Aroma is nicely fruity and citrusy, nice tangerine/mango like hop aroma. Flavor is lightly malty and somewhat bitter but a less bitter than most ipa’s. Nice fruit and citrus flavor that is like the aroma. But not quite enough of it to make this that good. Seems like a really good ipa that someone splashed water into. Reid (1090), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Typical orange, slightly hazy coloured beer, small ,whte,splotchy head.
Pine aromas, some strange onion in the background?, along with some nectarine.
Strongish malt tendencies to begin with, then the citric hop flavour takes over, very bitter on the back of the tongue, along with some honey like sweetness.
I quite liked this on the palate, rather wild but didnt over stay it welcome.
Overall a nice enough IPA, not the best but again this series experiment by Bison is quite imformative. mjg74 (1997), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Bottle from BevMo. Deep golden in color upon pouring. Skuny pine aroma is dominant. A little bit of syrupy sweetness. Flavor is bitter and citric. Plenty of flavor to go around. Nice bitter kick as well. bboven (103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jun 25, 2007 The Amarillo hop smell was amazing, but the beer tastes like wet cardboard. I thought oxidization was the error of homebrewers, not an obvious fault of professionals. I will never buy this beer again ans will caution my friends against it as well.
