Commercial Description:
For our 22-ounce IPA bottling, we play around a bit. We use the exact same malt profile in each brew, but experiment with different hop varieties. Common flavor descriptors of this hop include: tangerine, pine needle, citrus peel, and earthy. Although its low co-humulone content supposedly makes a smoother bittering, we find it a bit rough. Let us know what you think at www.bisonbrew.com Cheers!

Very very sweet tangerine smell; beautiful golden color; whoa, the pine flavor comes on really stong, they ain’t joking by it being "a bit rough"! This is the first "single hop" I’ve had and I’m a fan of the entire idea. Especially for someone like me who’s relatively new--loves IPAs--and has no idea which hop tastes like what. Reminds of those "doctored beers" I’ve read about. As for this one, sure you have to be wanting this pretty distinct taste but I could definitely see bringing this one camping. I’ll be buying many more of these "single hop"s. Cheers Bison!

Yum! This single hop series beer makes wonderful use of a wonderful hop! Fruity nutty and floral as sin. Lots of sweet and malty character, too. Perhaps a little sugary in the finish, but overall, a really nice beer.

Strong malt backbone, very rich and grainy with a bready character. Kind of a sweet Hop profile - orange citrus sweet with almost a hefe banana essence. Pretty dry and very smooth. Not picking up any of the pine needle- my bottle has sat at 55 for 4 months now so maybe its mellowed into the drink. Hardly any bitterness present - does not seem like an IPA in the true sense, more like a Pale, but thats ok on its own merit - great flavor and a mild hop presence with no resiny or astringent hues that turn people away from IPAs.

Appearance: Pours a clear body with just a slight orange tint to it. Tiny ring of white bubbles on top. Smell: Handful of tropical fruits, grapefruit and papaya, served up in a light caramel sauce. Taste: Caramel malts with just a hint of toast. More of the tropical fruits from the aroma displaying a nice juiciness. Fairly restrained medium bitterness. A touch citric on the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Not so enjoyable as an IPA, but it is pretty fun in terms of learning your hops and their various attributes and characteristics.

Very citrusy flavor and aroma. Dark orange and cloudy. Starts off with citrus and then ends in the bite of the bitterness.

Nice looking bright orange beer , small off white bubblybhead. Quite an unusual aroma, like raisin bread, doughy, small pine note, smells like oatmeal and raisin cookies! This one is more malt accented than the others of this series, its mostly semi-bitter malts until the end when the hops showcase..more on the piney side. Nice enough mouth feel to this one. Overall not bad and quite drinkable,.

Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of sage, some spicy hints, grassy. Tastes dry and spicy with lots of floral hints on the finish.

I like the idea of having a single-hop IPA series. Pours clear copper with a 2-finger white head. Clean, crisp hop aroma. Lots of pepper and pine with grass. Lighter taste than expected, almost like an XPA. Earthy, pine flavors with some lemon. A Bison beers go, this is pretty good.
