Commercial Description:
Our organic "Tripple-style" ale contains hints of fruit, most notably plums, and was made with authentic Belgian candi crystals, organic malts, water, and yeast. The brew is balanced witha robust maltiness, a touch of coriander, and the subtle spiciness of organic Cascade hops.

(22oz. bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a spare white head. Aroma of coriander, spoiled fruit, florals, and spruce. Offensive flavor of most ly coriander, alcohol, and mild hops while chilled. Once left set to room temperature, the flavor becomes somewhat tolerable, but soapiness then sets in. Palate is mostly alcoholic with little else.

Poured a pure liquid gold without any head or muxh carbonation bubbles to be admired. The nose is a solid combination of grain wheat/ malt and weak aromas of yeast. The flavor has gone flat a bit and lacks a strong character expected from any abbey tripel. Some worthy notes on the flavor are that it is a little sweet with a malt and grain plot. Aftertaste holds a reminder of pepper and spicey yeast but just to weak to dwel or savor on.

Golden color with a quickly fading white head that quickly turns into nothing. Yeasty aroma with hints of pink rock candy. Sugar water taste with a bready finish and absolutely ZERO hint of the advertised plum. Very suspect.

Pale gold appearance with a small white head and a fair amount of lacing. Aroma was muted, even at room temp, but picked up on the yeast and some soft fruits. Thin mouthfeel; moderately carbonated. Taste was sweet up front, fruity in the middle and spicier on the roof of the mouth. Finished spicy as well.

22 oz bottle. Very clear golden ale with virtually no head. Aromas of coriander and spices, with a citrus tang. Hops were on the bitter side. A tiny bit sweet on the tongue, and with a very mild finish. I like this a lot, and it was very easy to drink. I have tried this at cellar temperatures and chilled in the refrigerator. It is much better cold.

Golden ale with thin white head. Sweet coriander aroma, and rosewater notes. Rather thin in mouth, with rosewood notes, faint spices, non-descript and boring. DumDum’s Belgian Sendoff on August 25, 2005.

22oz bottle from Sam’s Blue Light in Durham, NC: very light in appearence and aroma of candied sugars. mom says ’caramel,’ aunt says honeysuckle. i could agree. Would not qualify as a belgian ’triple,’ but still a tasty ale to have at the end of the day. alcohol well hidden. 8% bahh. Not bad, but not amazing.

Pours a bright golden yellow color. Aromas of hops, fruit, and a little yeast. Has a light fruit taste, with some yeasty notes, a touch of orange, and a good hop flavor.
