nose of a nice, coffee brownie; very dark pour with a nice and swift cascading brown and tight head; flavor does not sit well enough, however... skim milk, coffee, and chocolate; it is not thick enough, not fatty enough, and not sweet enough... needs more, but it is otherwise--actually--quite good!

I was expecting this to have more of a sweetness to it. Pitch pour with diminishing brown head. Mild aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is somewhat lacking, pretty bitter with some roast and a bit of smoke. Tastes watered down. Flavor did improve as it warmed though. Definitely needs to be paired with a piece of chocolate or something.

Had at tasting so was lost in the mix of everything else. Aroma very mellow chocolate malt and taste is a bit odd with some chocolate. Light and drinkable but not too much flavor.

A dark chocolate beer. This one lives up to the name. Very good I would get again. Bonus points for making me thing of bdubs wings....this beer and some wings....mmmmm heaven, just heaven.

From a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Can’t find a freshness date. Deep dark brown with a miniscule head that fizzes up to at most half a centimeter and disappears quickly. Makes me question the freshness of this beer. A nice cocoa smell emanates from the glass, obviously due to the fact that this beer is brewed with actual powdered cocoa in the mash. A bit of a smoky roasty note too. The powdered cocoa is prominent in the taste along with typical chocolate and coffee notes. Bitterness from the roasted malt shines through as well. Kinda watery for a stout, with a lack of substantial carbonation Went down easy but didn’t really want another one.

good flavor. dark with little head...has a nutty finish and definite chocolate flavor. i like it...

Bottled from BevMo. All organic eh? Well its no wonder the stuff isn’t all too impressive...don’t get me wrong; I’m all for sustainable resources & chemical-free produce, but flavors just seem to be knocked a bit. Black pour with deep maroon edges and some reddish to beige micro head and lace. Dry chocolate aroma with smoked malt and weak hops with hay. Straightforward flavor of dark chocolate and cocoa powder with charcoal. Dry, carbonated finish. Nothing great.

the little brother (in taste) to youngs double chocolate stout. nice malt, nice choclate flavor, a real winner. i just dont praise it more because i usually just get youngs instead, but if its not available, pick this up. youre in for a treat.
