Bottled. It pours a deep brown, almost black, with a reddish hue, and it looks clear, with a dense tan head. Coffee, chocolate, roastiness, cigarette-smoke and cola in the aroma. The flavor has cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt, tobacco-smoke and a little dryness. Drying, full-bodied mouthfeel and a very chocolate-like finish. A lovely organic beer. (070119)

22oz bottle, pours a medium dark brown with a beautifull light brown head that sticks around for awhile, I drank this beer after the rouge chocolate and enjoyed this much more, it has less of a sweet chocolate aroma/flavor and more of a hoppy beer tone to it.

22 oz bottle. Dark red-brown body with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee. Flavor is slightly roasted chocolate and a bit spicy bitter hop. Bitter in the aftertaste. Really nice.

22 oz. bottle - very thick head that lasted the whole pint; stong chocolate smell/taste, but overall slightly bland and flat aftertaste

(from notes). Alcohol and chocolate nose, some coffee. Pours black with ruby hints and a huge brown head. Well-balanced chocolate/coffee flavor with some bitterness but mostly sweet. Hits the palate with heavy carbonation but smoothes out nicely.

Bottle. Rich chocolate nose. Opaque dark brown/black pour with a creamy, rocky, lacing light brown head. Spoonable! Sweet dark chcoolate taste with a good deal of roast. Smooth, soft mf but a little thin. Touch of acidity and powdered chocolate. Aftertaste is very dry, roasty with toffee and chocolate. Light finishing hops. Straightforward and tasty!

A very enjoyable beer. A personal favorite and a real plus that it is organic. Lightly sweet and creaming with a soft carbonation.

Pours a deep black color with a ring of light brown lace on top.Very good aroma and flavor of coffee and coacoa with a mild bitter finish. The palate is light and dry and the carbonation is expansive. Very nice.
