Sep 22, 2009 Thanks to ghawener. Great appearance and aroma. Light bodied for a stout, great initial mouth feel with distinct chocolate flavors. However, ending is flat only the bittirness of the hops is present.

Sep 21, 2009 Dry and bitter. Fully fermented but something un-fermented remains. Not really any chocolate taste, more like coco nibs but more like walnuts, more like the membrane that covers the walnut after you take the shell off. Not really a good thing to be compared to but there you go. Not bad, not great, and not chocolate.

Aug 9, 2009 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark ruby color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is tootsie rolls, coffee and light roast. Taste is roasted malts, light mocha and club soda. Thin-medium bodied.
