Really, if you dig the whole stout + cigar thing, try it with a Bison. papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA

Tasting notes:
Very dark chocolate brown color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and some chocolate. There is dark caramel malt, weak coffee, and mocha latte (some cream or vanilla in there?) in the flavor. Short, earthy finish. This beer is light bodied (much lighter than expected or desired) and well carbonated (maybe just a bit too much). bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Bomber. One of the stouts in blind tasting. Pours opaque blackish brown with garnet highlights and a huge tan head. Medium body with light carbonation. The aroma is a bit thin, but has some chocolate. Taste of nuts, roasty malt and chocolate. Dry coffee finish. after4ever (2776), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Bomber. Pours jet black with a thick, sudsy, moussy dark tan head. Spotty lacing. Big chalky roasty chocolate nose, and the mid-palate, too, plays those same notes. Medium strength attack; big-bodied but not huge, definitely not sticky or oily. Pronounced flavors on the attack; mild carb. Very dry, roasty, chalky, almost astringent mid-palate and finish. This is nice stuff but I can see the marketer’s dilemma, struggling between "stout," "sweet stout," and "dry stout" for the label. Ultimately it’s a dry chocolate stout I guess. That roasty milk chocolate flavor hits you up front, but the dryness takes over on the way down. SB (317), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Must have been over carbonated because all I got was head, so much so that I had to scoop it out with a spoon. Aroma of coffee and malt. Flavor of burnt coffee and malt. Something seems off and I don’t think because it’s organic. I left it sit for 10 minutes or so to breathe. That helped a little but I still got the same flavors with more sweetness, but could still taste some off flavors. Thin bodied for a stout. Not what I was expecting, and I was very excited to try this beer, must have been an off bottle, I will have to try again. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
