Hops are present and balences the beer but this beer lacks some finesse. Wotha try though. Silver medal at the 2005 GABF. Forgien style stout. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2006 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind an opaque dark black brown colored body. The strong aroma was malty dark chocolate and dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish and a malt hop bite in the aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of dark malt and mild chocolate. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
