| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2006 Pours a dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt and coffee, but a bit weak. Tastes like a gingerbread cookie soaked in dark roast coffee. Finish is a bit bitter. More like a sweet stout than a porter. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 1, 2006 The aroma has some gingerbread but it is mostly coffee and caramel. The appearance is dark brown with a small but persistent head. The flavor is bitter with chocolate, coffee, and a little gingerbread but not enough. The palate is thin. I really liked the idea of a Gingerbread ale so I was expecting a lot and therefor it was not all it could be. Palidor19 (1798), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 1, 2006 Smells wonderful, its got that real Autumn sense. The taste of gingerbread is apparent, the highly malty taste is very nice, yet it falls a little thin at the end. Very good. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2006 22oz bottle. This was a kinda interesting brew. I enjoy the anchor OSA quite a bit, but this one lacked a bit of warmth. The gingerbread taste was good, but the body was thin and lacked some sweetness up front to give it a more warming cold night after dinner brew effect. Needed some more body, was just to thin on the palate. Tmoney99 (4798), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2006 Bottle. Poured clear dark brown with a huge creamy light brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid spicy ginger and malt aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Medium sweet spice malty flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer. DragonStout (1384), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
