Taste of a gingerbread cookie with some cinnamon and chocolate and coffee. Nice tasting porter. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

amber, gingerbread cookie aroma, light sweet malt flavor with light ginger and cinamon spices that fades as you get used to it, a cross between a normal beer and a spiced ale

Thick, almost chewy texture. Very smooth drinking beer, just not a lot of flavors. The bottle said brewed with ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon, but none of these were detectable. To be honest I don’t know how old this beer was or exactly how it was stored, which could have influenced my experience Suttree (2743), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

But i like it regardless. Flavor is similiar, with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon, too. Seems very wintery. Floback (339), Naples, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2007 Poured black with tan edges, lacked substantial head. Tannish and loose lacing. Nose contains chocolatey malt, dough, and coffee. Mild gingerbread notes and stronger chocolate with more pronounced malt on the tongue and palate. Very drinkable. Mild carbonation and small body for the style. Not bad. scottyw (46), Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA

I pick up a lot of different faint aromas. By no means does the gingerbread dominate. Mostly ginger and clove and a earthy smell make up the light aroma, and hints of coffee and chocolate make their way through. I slightly sweet first taste, the finish doesn’t last long, but definitely has a coffee aftertaste. All in all, a pleasant surprise. surffisher (196), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2007 Pours clear amber-brown with a giant, frothing, long-lasting light tan head. Aroma of carmel malts, a little chocolate, baked bread, ginger, spices and something vegetal. Sounds like a lot, but actually the aroma is a bit underwhelming. Flavor is lightly roasted carmel malts and some gingerbread spices with some chocoate in the dry, spicy finish. Fairly light bodied, with moderate carbonation. This fits a brown porter category just as easy as spice/herb/vegetal. Either way, its a pretty unique concoction and a tasty winter seasonal. BrewDad (2372), Olympia, Washington, USA

Deep brown color with a nice aroma. The aroma was with subtle baked aromas of ginger and slight malt. Loved the flavors. This was a beer with a nice hint of gingerbread flavors. This was not over the top and had a great sweet finish a great desert beer and conversation starter. Fun beer to drink.
