Pours light copper, white head.
Aroma had more basil notes than the honey. Some herbal notes/spices that come sout as real present.
Flavor, on this side, the honey was more present compared to the basil. Herbal and malty.
Crisp, honey sweet finish with light caramel and thin citrus bitterness. Cornfield (4938), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottle from Pat’s Liquors in Porter, Indiana: This poured a clear copper/amber body with a smallish off-white head. The aroma was honey sweet, cut by a spiciness that I couldn’t honestly peg as basil. Same with the flavor, although it was more complex with its spiciness and had a stronger, sweet malt presencce. I finally picked up on the basil in the dry finish. Okay. scrizzz (1276), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2009 I wouldn’t have said basil on the nose, more like rosemary, but I guess I’d be wrong. Mild clover honey. Clear bronze, lively carbonation. Clean and sweet, tempered with the herb. Kind of a one-two punch, not crazy complex, but very complimentary flavors.
