Not too bitter on the aroma, no distinguished hops. Flavor is much higher in hop content. Has a bit of "organic flavor" I’ve noted in several other organics. Overall, a good IPA. Extra points for organic! jrob21 (1279), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Bottle at JCT kitchen paired with the trout. I was impressed with the aroma of this one. Big floral and pine nose. Very impressive. The flavor was not my favorite hop type flavor. It was that metallic bitter sort of hoppiness. The color was a decent light brown with orange hues. Decent white head. Malt balance was unnoticeable. RedXIII (127), Powell, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Classic pine and hop aroma. Taste does not overload the hops but instead is very smooth with a great balance of flavors. With a mild bitterness in the finish, I found this to be a very underrated beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Hazy amber, moderate head with solid lacing and retention. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus and light spicy hops, caramel backing. There’s a hint of butterscotch. Medium bodied, light bitterness, almost sweet. Not much character. This brewery is so random. cathcacr (592), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2007 On the heels of Full Sail’s British-style IPA that I liked a lot, I’m left saying that this is a notch below. This doesn’t have quite the balance I’m expecting; too mellow and citrusy-sweet to achieve full effect. I’m getting a definite very-cloudy appearance on this but not a whole lot in the way of head . . . but the foam and bubbles that are there are more than minimal and pleasing to behold.
